2 - Before we start to travel
Let's get the crew together
To get this trip started we had to go and pick up our dad at the Airport. He was coming back in the country after almost a year and, it would be the first time over a long period where my two sisters, my dad and I spent time together.
We were all hyped!!
A friend will drive us to the Airport, and my dad wife and her children tagged along as well.
That's how our trip started before doing the trip... Make sense?
Well, during our way to La Romana, i remember our friend was driving at a normal speed and got pulled over by the AMET: our country traffic and transportation police.
The driver was swearing the car speed was not over 80, but the car speed radar signed 120+ and the limit was 100.
That was weird.
Luckily our friend is a retired militar and after showing his ID the policeman let us go.
Meanwhile they were complaining about it, I realized what happened looking at the speedometer: the driver confused the measurement value of kph to mph, so instead of reading the 80kph It read the 120mph.
Bad one. At least we got away with it.
We later arrived at the Airport. Early. Had to wait a couple of hours.
Time passes and on the last 20-30 minutes, i saw a bus and the background panorama. I loved it.
I remember my sisters asking me where I was going, but ignoring them i approached my scenario.
Shot. The images came exactly as they were in my mind. So beautiful.
Then people started to come out of the gate, and finally my father followed. It was reunion time!
In happiness we headed back home with only one stop for food.
Once home, the crew was complete for what next would be: Pedernales journey.
